Before You Submit

Before submitting a manuscript to an ASPG journal, authors are encouraged to review the following points to ensure that their submission is suitable, complete, and ready for editorial evaluation.

Select the Appropriate Journal

Authors should carefully review the aims and scope of the selected journal and consider its recently published articles to determine whether the manuscript is appropriate for its readership and subject coverage.

Manuscripts that fall outside the scope of a journal may be declined during the initial editorial assessment without being sent for external peer review.

Ensure the Manuscript Is Ready for Evaluation

A submission should present a clear and meaningful scholarly contribution and should be written in professional academic English. The research objective, contribution, methodology or approach, findings, and conclusions should be communicated clearly and consistently with the conventions of the relevant discipline.

ASPG follows a flexible-format approach for initial submissions. Authors are not required to prepare their manuscripts according to a journal-specific production template before peer review unless otherwise indicated by the individual journal.

For information on manuscript preparation, article types, references, figures and tables, and general submission requirements, please consult the Author Guidelines.

Confirm Originality and Publication-Ethics Compliance

Before submission, authors should ensure that the manuscript complies with ASPG's requirements concerning originality, authorship, research integrity, ethical conduct, conflicts of interest, prior publication, and other relevant ethical considerations.

Detailed requirements, including ASPG policies concerning the use of artificial intelligence and research misconduct, are provided in the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

Authors should review this policy before submitting their work.

Check the Submission Details

Authors should ensure that the manuscript and submission information are accurate and complete and that all listed authors have approved the submission.

The corresponding author should verify author names, affiliations, contact information, manuscript files, figures, tables, and other relevant submission information before completing the submission.

For a practical pre-submission check, authors may refer to the Manuscript Checklist.

Understand the Editorial and Peer-Review Process

Submitted manuscripts are initially assessed by the journal's editorial team for suitability, relevance, presentation, and compliance with applicable journal and publisher requirements. Manuscripts considered suitable for further evaluation proceed through the journal's peer-review process.

Authors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the evaluation procedure before submission by reviewing the Peer Review Process.

Review Journal-Specific Information

Individual ASPG journals may differ in their subject coverage, article types, publication schedule, and publication charges.

Authors should therefore review the homepage of the selected journal for any journal-specific information, including applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs), before submitting a manuscript.

Submit Your Manuscript

Once the manuscript has been checked and the relevant journal and publisher policies have been reviewed, authors may submit their work through the official ASPG Online Submission System.

Careful preparation before submission helps facilitate efficient editorial assessment and peer review while supporting the quality and integrity of the scholarly publication process.
