Expected Value of Asymmetric Coordinated Search Technique for Detecting a Randomly Located Target on the Plane

This paper proposes Asymmetric coordination strategy, we study coordinated search technique for a lost located object on the plan, where there are two searchers beginning their search from the same initial point (0, 0), but both sides do not have the same area. Here we introduce a model of search plan and investigate the expected value of detecting the lost target in both sides to avoid wasting time. We present an algorithm to facilitate the search technique. An illustrative application from real life has been introduced to demonstrate the applicability of this search technique. The effectiveness of this model has been illustrated by numerical results

Neutrosophic Multicriteria Methods for the Selection of Sustainable Alternative Materials in Concrete Design

Increased awareness of the environmental impacts associated with excessive carbon dioxide emissions generated from cement production has led to great strides in developing technologies and materials aimed at reducing such impacts. A large amount of work has been carried out worldwide related to the design of more sustainable concrete mixes that take advantage of natural elements or those recovered from waste. This work analyzes a set of alternatives for substitutes of concrete mix aggregates that guarantee the best levels of resistance to compression and also comply with the principles of environmental sustainability. To do this, the TOPSIS multi-criteria decision method is used to determine the preferred substitute alternative for aggregates based on certain criteria. The analysis carried out using the TOPSIS method revealed that the alternative with the highest level of proximity to the ideal solution was the use of recycled glass as an additive to the concrete mix. It was observed that the specialists considered the environmental impact and the resistance and durability of the resulting concrete as the most important criteria to assess. A qualitative comparison of the alternatives resulting from the analysis was carried out to verify the results achieved by the method used.

Stock Closing Price Prediction of ISX-listed Industrial Companies Using Artificial Neural Networks

Making stock investment decisions is a complex challenge that investors continuously face. When it comes to an uncertain future, making the wrong decision can result in massive losses. The paper aims to develop an artificial neural networks-based model predicting the closing price of top-six traded industrial ISX-listed stocks, which can guide investment decisions. The sample consisted of daily indexes ISX-released from (3/3/2019) to (31/3/2019). Matlab 2014b was used to run artificial neural networks using the nntool software. The model's performance was evaluated using Mean squared error (MSE), Root means squared error (RMSE), and R squared. Empirical results demonstrated the ability and efficiency of artificial neural networks to predict closing prices with high accuracy. As a result, we recommended employing the Artificial Neural Networks model to predict stock prices as well as relying on it to make decisions.

Brain Storm Optimization with Long Short Term Memory Enabled Phishing Webpage Classification for Cybersecurity

Phishing is a familiar kind of cyberattack in the present digital world. Phishing detection with maximum performance accuracy and minimum computational complexity is continuously a topic of much interest. A novel technology was established for improving the phishing detection rate and decreasing computational constraints recently. But, one solution has inadequate for addressing every problem due to attackers from cyberspace. Thus, the initial objective of this work is for analysing the performance of different deep learning (DL) techniques from detection phishing activity. This study introduces a novel Brain Storm Optimization with Long Short Term Memory Enabled Phishing Webpage Classification (BSOLSTM-PWC) for Cybersecurity. The proposed BSOLSTM-PWC technique enables to accomplish cybersecurity by the identification and classification of phishing webpages. To accomplish this, the BSOLSTM-PWC technique initially employs data pre-processing technique to transform the data into actual format. Besides, the BSOLSTM-PWC technique employs LSTM classifier for the identification and categorization of phishing webpages. Moreover, the BSO algorithm is utilized to appropriately adjust the hyperparameters involved in the LSTM model. For reporting the improved outcomes of the BSOLSTM-PWC method, a wide-ranging simulation analysis is made using benchmark dataset. The experimental outcomes reported the enhanced outcomes of the BSOLSTM-PWC method on existing methods.

Fad Diet vs. Balanced Diet in Adults Living in Islamabad

Adults have a variety of experiences with social pressure to have low weight. Thus, there is a desire to lose weight with a variety of efforts, such as fad diets. This type of diet can lead to insufficient intake of nutrients in the body and increase the risk of health problems in the long run. The research aimed to analyze fad diets, BMI, and activity levels of adults in Islamabad. The research design was cross-sectional in 50 adults aged 19–58 years who were selected by simple random sampling. The data of fad diets used in the questionnaire, BMI data using the calculation of the last body weight and height, and activity level were measured using food frequency questionnaire. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results of this research showed that most respondents implement fad diets (56%), had normal BMI (60%), had fairly activity levels (32%), while overweight BMI (34%), and obese (4%) of BMI, and had moderate and inactive activity level (26%). There was an insignificant (p =.085) correlation between fad diets and age (r = -.232), and in addition, there was an insignificant correlation (p =.171) between fad diets and BMI (r =.013). It is concluded that the adults who implemented fad diets and below normal tended to not have activity levels of BMI because of improper food selection and psychological factors. Adults are expected to be able to conduct weight loss with the assistance of a nutritionist or in accordance with balanced nutrition guidelines.

Infallible and FastQR Code Based Attendance Plus Feedback System

We all know that keeping track of students' attendance is a crucial part of their education. Marking attendance, particularly in higher educational institutions, is a time-consuming and inefficient operation due to the large number of students. Taking feedback from students during seminars or guest lectures is also a time-consuming and demanding endeavor. It has a significant impact on an educational organization's overall productivity. We also understand that smartphones have become common, as well as a need in this rapidly changing digital world. Various smartphone applications have been developed, allowing us to boost our productivity while saving a significant amount of time. Many digital technologies, such as fingerprint scanning, RFID, facial recognition, QR codes, and barcode-based systems, have been presented in recent years. However, they were unable to adopt these ideas on a broad scale due to factors such as sophisticated functionality, easy to cheat, time demanding, and poor user experience. Furthermore, there are no effective or time-saving methods in place for collecting student feedback during seminars or guest lectures. To address all of these concerns, we devised and suggested a quick, scalable, and error-proof QR code-based system capable of accurately recording attendance and collecting feedback at seminars or guest lectures.

An Approach for Devising Stenography Application Using Cross Modal Attention

This paper focuses on providing a solution to the direct conversion of speech to shorthand. Since shorthand is not understood by many but is used for writing quick transcripts, a product is developed that converts the speech to its appropriate Gregg shorthand. A website that will be used as a front end, will use a speech-to-text API to record the speech in real-time. The converted text will then be fed into a text-to-image retrieval model that derives its corresponding Gregg shorthand for the text. The text will then be displayed to the user in real-time. By achieving this, the model reduces the need to depend upon stenographers for transcribing scripts. The resulting model achieves a good result.
