Author Guidelines

The American Scientific Publishing Group (ASPG) provides general guidelines for manuscript preparation and submission across its journals. Authors should ensure that their manuscript is relevant to the aims and scope of the selected journal and complies with the publisher's policies before submission.

1. Submission Policy

Manuscripts must be submitted through the official ASPG online submission system. Authors should select the appropriate journal and complete the required submission information.

Submission of a manuscript confirms that:

  • The work is original and has not been published previously, except where permitted under the publisher's policies;

  • The manuscript is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal;

  • All listed authors have approved the submission; and

  • The manuscript complies with the applicable ASPG publication policies.

Authors are encouraged to review the Before You Submit page before submitting their manuscript.

2. Types of Articles

ASPG journals publish scholarly contributions appropriate to their respective disciplines and aims and scope. Common article types include:

  • Full Length Research Articles — Original theoretical, empirical, experimental, computational, methodological, or applied research presenting significant scholarly findings.

  • Review Articles — Critical and structured analyses of existing research, including literature reviews, systematic reviews, bibliometric studies, and other forms of scholarly synthesis appropriate to the field.

  • Case Studies — In-depth investigations of particular applications, organizations, systems, technologies, policies, environments, or other research contexts that provide relevant scholarly or practical insights.

  • Short Communications — Concise contributions reporting significant findings, focused developments, novel observations, or extensions of previously established research.

The article types accepted by individual journals may vary according to their disciplinary focus. Authors should consult the aims and scope and published content of the target journal when determining the suitability of a manuscript. Other forms of scholarly contributions may be considered at the discretion of the journal's editorial team.

3. Manuscript Preparation

ASPG follows a flexible-format policy for initial submissions. Manuscripts may be submitted in any standard academic format, and strict adherence to a journal-specific template is not required before peer review.

Manuscripts should be clearly organized and should normally include a title, abstract, keywords, main text, and references, together with figures and tables where relevant.

A typical research article may contain sections such as:

  • Introduction

  • Materials and Methods / Methodology

  • Results

  • Discussion

  • Conclusions

  • References

However, the structure may vary according to the nature of the research, article type, and conventions of the relevant discipline. Theoretical, mathematical, review, case-study, computational, and other specialized manuscripts may follow alternative structures appropriate to their content.

Following acceptance, manuscripts are prepared and professionally formatted according to the publication style of the journal.

4. Language and Presentation

Manuscripts must be written in clear and professional English. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is understandable, logically presented, and suitable for scholarly communication.

Technical terminology, abbreviations, mathematical notation, figures, and tables should be used consistently throughout the manuscript.

Authors may consult the Manuscript Checklist for general recommendations before submission.

5. Author Information and Correspondence

The names and institutional affiliations of all authors should be provided accurately during submission.

One author must be identified as the corresponding author and will be responsible for communication with the journal during submission, peer review, revision, and publication.

Authors may provide ORCID identifiers to support accurate author identification and attribution.

Questions relating to authorship eligibility, changes in authorship, conflicts of interest, research integrity, and other ethical matters are governed by the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

6. References and Citations

References should be relevant to the manuscript and should accurately represent the sources on which the research is based.

At initial submission, references may follow any recognized scholarly citation style, provided that the style is applied consistently. Following acceptance, references may be adjusted to conform to the journal's publication format.

Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all bibliographic information and citations included in their manuscripts. Citation practices must comply with the standards described in the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

7. Figures, Tables, and Supporting Content

Figures and tables should be clear, appropriately numbered, and referred to within the manuscript. Captions should provide sufficient information for readers to understand the presented content.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights or permissions for any third-party material included in their manuscript. Further information is available in the Copyright and Licensing Policy.

8. Publication Ethics and Research Integrity

All manuscripts submitted to ASPG journals must comply with the publisher's standards of publication ethics and research integrity.

Policies concerning originality, plagiarism, authorship, conflicts of interest, research misconduct, ethical approval, data integrity, use of artificial intelligence, and related matters are provided in the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

Authors should review this policy before submission.

9. Preprints and Prior Dissemination

The prior posting of a manuscript as a preprint or its presentation as a conference abstract or presentation does not normally prevent submission to an ASPG journal, provided that the prior dissemination is disclosed where applicable.

Material that has previously appeared as a published conference paper or other publication must be disclosed to the journal and must comply with ASPG policies concerning originality, duplicate publication, copyright, and publication ethics.

10. Peer Review and Revision

Submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial assessment and, where suitable, independent peer review.

Authors receiving a revision decision should address the reviewers' and editors' comments carefully and submit the revised manuscript together with the requested response or supporting information.

Complete information concerning editorial assessment, the review model, reviewer responsibilities, revisions, and editorial decisions is available in the Peer Review Process.

11. Copyright, Licensing, and Open Access

ASPG journals operate under an open-access publishing model. Copyright, licensing, reuse, author rights, and third-party material are governed by the publisher's Copyright and Licensing Policy and Open Access Policy.

Authors should review the applicable policies before publication.

12. Article Processing Charges

Article Processing Charges (APCs) vary among ASPG journals. Some journals may charge an APC, while others may publish without a publication fee.

Where an APC applies, the applicable amount and conditions are stated on the individual journal website. No publication fee is charged at the submission stage, and any applicable APC is considered only after acceptance.

Authors should consult the target journal's homepage for current information concerning publication charges.

13. Before Submission

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should confirm that the work is suitable for the selected journal and that the submission is complete and ready for editorial assessment.
